Recently I was lucky enough to win a wonderful Gilmore Girls prize package from RightAtHomeShop by commenting on a blog hop. This prize included a couple of their amazing stamp sets and some fun Gilmore Girls themed items. Look at all the great stuff!
Right away, I had to get to making some coffee (or tea) cards with these stamp sets. The Cup of Joy set really is wonderful for paper piecing. The How Have You Bean? set has some great sentiments that match or standalone. I used some Warm Cocoa cardstock from GinaKDesigns, along with the same ink color. Initially I stamped on an ivory cardstock, then on various patterned paper from my stash. The layers were fussy cut from the ivory cardstock, then from the patterned paper and adhered on the ivory.
The first one in the grouping, I die cut the border using a scallop stitched border die from My Favorite Things. I used white embossing on the sentiment, and adhered the premade cups to the side. There are matching ivory cut cups on the reverse side to have a nice inside. The panel for the inside was stamped with the ‘steam’ curls from the Cup of Joy set to peek out in the open area.
The second one is using a background paper from Stampin Up, a prepared cup, another great sentiment from How Have You Bean?, one of my punched dragonflies, and a cut out from one of my Gilmore Girls pieces. If you can’t read it, it is “From the Desk of the Dragonfly Inn” and the address. For those who do not know, The Dragonfly Inn was a featured Inn on the Gilmore Girls.
The last one is using some of my favorite line embossed ivory paper, cut with a scallop dotted edge from Avery Elle and matching brown glitter paper The sentiment from the How Have You Bean? set needed a little edit since I love chai tea especially.
Be sure to check out the RightAtHomeShop for some great stamp sets. Right now she is having a Spring Sale with 15% off everything (code SPRINGSALE), and a free gift with a $60 order.
Start your day with coffee or tea, or your wakeup beverage of choice; and have a wonderful day crafting!
