If you don’t have some CAS-ual Fridays stamps in your collection, you are missing out on some very fun stamping. I created the Mother’s Day Card featured using a retired set called Mum’s the Word. The flowers in this set were just so pretty. I’m sorry it is retired, but I wanted to use it for the current CAS-ual Friday Challenge. I stamped the large flower in GinaKDesigns Lipstick ink, and the small in GinaKDesigns WIld Dandelion. After cutting them out with my Brother Scan & Cut, I attached them with little green brads – they actually spin around. The left side is using CAS-ual Friday’s TIN ROOF (see below). The sentiment is also from the Mum’s the Word set. I cut some GKD Wild Dandelion cardstock using the Lawn Fawn small stitched rectangles, and the edge with My Favorite Things Stitched Scallop Basic Edges. The yellow piece and flowers were popped up on a heavyweight white card base.
So, onto some of their stamps that you can actually still get 🙂 . One of my favorite decorative sets is the TIN ROOF stamp for borders or backgrounds. I used it on the left side of the featured image in Wild Dandelion ink. This set was also used on a card I entered in a previous challenge. Can you tell I like that Wild Dandelion?
CAS-ual Fridays also has two of my very favorite sentiment sets. Sassy Smiles and Whole Shebang have one large sentiment each, and some GREAT sassy comments for using on the front of the card or inside.
Here are a few samples of how I have used these sets. Most of the cards I made in the past with these stamps have been sent out to friends and family. I love the sas!
oh, One more with that retired set, it was a great set.
Catch you all next time — MK
