The new collaboration between GinaKDesigns and ThermOWeb has provided some beautiful new foil products. Available on ThermOWeb ‘s order site, you can get amazing new foils, included silver and gold sequin foils; wonderful new foilmates to use them on; and some gorgeous GinaKDesigns ribbon that has been off the market for too long.
My order came in yesterday and I have been having so much FUN foiling and making cards. In my order was both sequin foils, along with red, turquoise sea, and a wild dandelion foil. I had also received the foil mates earlier from SimonSaysStamp; the Swirls and Flourishes and Dots and Strings. There are also some great new doublestitched dies available with small dies in the sets.
General instructions on foiling with pictures was done in a earlier blog post of mine: Foiled Again – check that one out. Also, Gina from GinaKDesigns did an amazing video on using these foils, along with a quick lesson on the amazing bow tying with this ribbon – You should check it out for sure. On to my cards. I knew I needed to add some wedding cards to my stash and those sequin foils are just perfect for this. Note: sentiments are not available from this collaboration, I either found free clipart or made my own with Word. Also not all backgrounds are from this collaboration -the floral one was from a Minc kit I had. The first one was done using the Gold sequin foil and the Swirls and Flourishes from GKD/TOW collaboration; the ribbon is also available there and is so soft you won’t believe it. I did the sentiment from a clipart on the web in rainbow foil. The second card was done in a Rose Gold foil on a rose print called Fifth Avenue Minc Paper that I received from A Cherry on Top. The final one is just like the gold one, done with the silver sequin foil.
Also in need of Birthday cards (because who isn’t in need of them), I made up some fun birthday cards. The first one is great for a July birthday. The first one and second one are using the Dots and Strings FoilMates – Aren’t those just great designs? the first one is in Red Velvet and the second in the Gold sequin foil. The birthday sentiments are available at GinaKDesigns. The third and fourth cards are using the Wild Dandelion foil on both – one used on a foilmate from GinaKDesigns, the other was reusing the negative of the foil on a black toner sheet also available at GinaKDesigns. The next golden dots on stringsis the negative to the second card. They just come out stunning! The last birthday card was using that rose print with a purple watercolor foil. I will just link to the full page of foils at GinaKDesigns foils and ThermOWeb foils because there are so many beautiful foils available now.
I could keep making foil cards all day. They make such an impact with minimal requirements. I hope you enjoyed seeing these and that you get a chance to have some fun with the new products. See you soon.
