Day Two – Tuesday – and I am still in love with using Unity Stamps to make cards. I think this is going to be a long term relationship! Be sure to check this blog all week and make a comment. At the end of the week 2 winners will be chosen from the commentators to win a set of 25 stamps from Unity.
Today’s focus in on flowers. The Featured card was made with a stamp and sentiment from the April 2017 KOTM, “Be My Bird”. I stamped in black ink on one of the thank you gift tags and cut it down to size. The coloring is done with Prismacolor pencils. I added some paper from the My Mind’s Eye In Bloom paper stack. Some gold glitter paper and gold ribbon bow added a bit more of sparkle. The flowers were also sparkled up with some Wink of Stella.
This second card is again using the watercolor with acrylic block method (see Jennifer McGuire’s post on the technique). I used the distress oxide inks on this one – aren’t the colors glorious? and then embossed the stamp from Steps of Courage in white. It really pops off the page. I put it on a piece of dotted paper I had (who know where it came from!) and on a black cardbase. I embossed the sentiment from “Hang in There Lady” in white on a black strip and applied to the card.
Have a wonderful Tuesday, and be sure to comment to be entered to win some Unity stamps.

These are both so wonderful. I like cutting down the tag, since I have some that are really too big for cards. I also love the background done with the Oxide inks since I haven’t had a chance to play around with mine. I will have to try that with the white embossing.

Your use of white is great. I like how it makes the background stand out in the one, and the white around the flowers is a nice change from the gray that I use. NICE JOB.
