I really like this set from Stampin Up. It has a fun stamp set and a framelits set to cut out the pieces and slider part so it is always the right size. I did find some instructions on line and modified them to my purpose. This is a link to the original instructions I found RamblngRoseStudio
Card Base (white) standard 4-1/4” x 5-1/2” (folded)
Sentiment panel strip (white) is 2-1/2 x 3-7/8” Stamp sentiments or designs on each half of the panel
Colorful layer is 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″. I used Berry Burst and then used the framelit to cut the slider strips. Center with just a bit more on top for the strip and door hinges.
I then embossed with the Tim Holtz Wood Planks Folder
Cut 4-1/4” x 5-1/2” panel (vanilla or kraft) from cardstock for the door. Stamp door and then use framelit to cut.
Use framelits to cut strip, door handle and hinges from black cardstock.
Stamp and use framelit to cut the Hello hanger or any of the wreath designs
You will need thin foam tape and something to create the slider backing – washer, cut circles — I used large white sequins cause that was all I could find. (LOL)
Adhere the sentiment panel between the slider holes.
Add Strip Adhesive across top and bottom and across the center of the back of the colorful layer. Make sure there is room at the top and bottom for the slider backing pieces. Adhere the black strip to top of panel (use door to determine placement.
Using thin foam tape or cut pop dots in half – place door, turn over panel and determine where to put the foam in the 4 corners of the door. Make sure foam is within strips without touching the panel. Peel off back and place slider pieces (sequin, washer, etc). make sure it is ‘inside’ a bit so that it doesn’t show through the cut out strips and also allows door to slide a bit more than the strips on each side Slide back and forth until it moves freely. Then peel backing from adhesive strips and apply to front of card base.
Door: Add door handle and hinges to door. Add hanger to door with pop dots. Use a bling as needed. I use the hanger to slide it back and forth.
Use the stamps to add design and sentiments as wanted on panel, inside, and envelope.
That is it for today. I have a group coming shortly and need to finish cleaning up – well, at least the big room. Mary Kay
