Congratulations to Kinjal A Salunkhe on winning the Friendship Blog Hop, with a comment on Teresa DeWitt Pierce’s blog.
“Hi Friend! Love the color combination for the stamp! and yes square cards are sometimes more fun (more space to work)! hope you do enjoy making more and sharing!”
She choose to get her $35 gift certificate from GinaKDesigns (my personal favorite) — I hope she has a great time choosing her goodies and I look forward to seeing her work. You can find her cards on Instagram at Instagram.com/mindmypaper and on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/mindmypaper/ .
Meanwhile, I wanted to show you the wonderful stamp I received in an inspiration box from Brutus Monroe. This box was called Dragonfly Garden, and you know if it has dragonfly in the name – I am in.
I stamped this on watercolor paper with versamark and used the Brutus Monroe Penny embossing powder on the stamp. Then I used my zig markers and a water brush to color in the design. I am so happy with how it came out – except for some of the grass but I an fix that. My plan is to put this in a small frame in my craft room.
This was my fourth Inspiration Box from Brutus Monroe, and they are SO MUCH FUN. You get a stamp set, dies, paper, embellishments, and other goodies to create with; along with an adorable little charm. This month I am going to sign up for the year. And I cannot wait to see Christopher Alan’s new store when it is complete.
Do you do that with any of your cards? So many of my cards are my little works of art that sometimes it is really hard to let them go. (I have a special box for those). The first year and a half of my crafting, I could not let any of them go. I had always been a workaholic and no time for hobbies – well, except for my motorcycle. But once I started making cards I was so amazed at the passion it awoke in me. The last 2 years of my business I caught up with filling my craft room with stamps and supplies. This year I have retired and am so looking forward to creating so much more.
Have a wonderful winter-spring-summer , which is pretty much what we have had this week in Ohio.
