Hi Everyone- I have a wonderful announcement – I am now part of the Anthony’s Paper Craft Design Team. Anthony is a great friend and has wonderful stamps that I have collected for many years. As part of his team, I am participating in the first ever Anthony’s Paper Craft Blog Hop. The amazingly talented members of the Design Team – Michael Trent, Debra Davison, Mike Fernholz and myself have teamed up for a “Christmas in August” hop – happening each Friday in August, starting today! We hope to inspire you with some amazing Christmas projects – along with having some fun and maybe a prize or two to win. I hope you will visit each of us, leave comments if you love our ideas, follow our blogs, Facebook and Instagram pages if you wish, and spread the news to all your fellow crafters!!!
There is even a code at the end of this post for free shipping over at Anthony’s Paper Craft.
My project for this Friday is also the project we are doing as a Make and Take at Anthony’s Paper Craft booth at Stampaway this Friday, August 10th in Sharonville. I hope you can stop by the booth tonight or Saturday to meet Anthony and see all his wonderful products. This antique tag make a great wine bottle tag, or you can use s a gift tag on presents. The story behind it is leaving cookies and hot cocoa (or a hot toddy!) out for Santa on the table by the Christmas tree. We have antiqued the manila tag with distress inks using Tea Dye, Vintage Photo, Shabby Shutters and Forest Moss; and also edged with the darker colors. The tree is stamped in Forest Moss and is from the stamp set Christmas Set 2 – which includes a lot of great Christmas themed stamps including the To/From. A mask for the table was made just cutting a curve out of a post it note before stamping the tree.
The drink, globe and small cookies and bow are from Christmas Set 3 and stamped in distress ink Brushed Corduroy. The ‘cookies’ are stamped on a small manila oval, that is placed over a gold ‘charger’ cut from a gold look cardstock – this unit is place off the edge of the tag with a piece of foam. The table line was just put on with a micro paint brush using the matching distress ink. A pretty ribbon and you can hang on that wonderful gift this Holiday Season.
