Well, not really. I am really, really not ready for snow — but I love this snowman from Anthonys Paper Craft and wanted to make you a snow card.
The amazingly talented members of the Design Team – Michael Trent, Debra Davison, Mike Fernholz and myself have teamed up for a “Christmas in August” hop – happening each Friday in August! This is the second Friday for this blog hop and we will continue to inspire you with some amazing Christmas projects and ideas – along with having some fun and introducing you to Anthonys Paper Craft stamps. I hope you will visit each of us, leave comments if you love our ideas, follow our blogs, Facebook and Instagram pages if you wish, and spread the news to all your fellow crafters!!! There is even a code at the end of this post for free shipping over at Anthony’s Paper Craft.
The Snowman with Bird stamp is a good size for impact on your Holiday cards. At about 3 inches square he will fill your space. I decided I wanted to have a swirly snow background that was different – so I used a Woodgrain embossing folder from Cuddlebug. I stamped the snowman stamp several times and colored each until I found my favorites to cut out. (The struggle is real). I cut out the full stamp and adhered it to my background. Next I decided it needed some SPARKLE! I covered the snow pile at the bottom with Crystal Stickles, along with the layers of the tree. The cut out body and head of the snowman and the bird were covered with a nuvo glitter gloss brush, more stickles on his scarf, and I used a glossy enamel on the hat to make it shine.
After several hours of drying, I put it together and popped up the decorated snowman. I used Anthonys Paper Craft Christmas Sentiments 1 for the Happy Holidays which was embossed in white on a red piece of cardstock. This little set of sentiments is great for the Christmas season – I love the script style and use it a lot. Anthony had the stickles and the little snowflakes I used at his show display. Be sure to check out his booth if you get a chance!

I love this card Mary Kay!! That embossing folder actually put a chill in the air and makes it seem like the cute snowman is in the middle of a storm. Great job!!
