Precious Christmas Memories

One of the most amazing gifts of Christmas is the memories we have our our childhood traditions and special memories of Christmas past with our beloved families and friends.

The amazingly talented members of the Design Team – Michael Trent, Debra Davison, Mike Fernholz and myself  have teamed up for a “Christmas in August” hop – happening each Friday in August! This is the third Friday for this blog hop and we will continue to inspire you with some amazing Christmas projects and ideas – along with having some fun and introducing you to Anthonys Paper Craft stamps. I hope you will visit each of us, leave comments if you love our ideas, follow our blogs, Facebook and Instagram pages if you wish, and spread the news to all your fellow crafters!!!   There is even a code at the end of this post for free shipping over at Anthony’s Paper Craft.

Anthony told me about a new stamp set he has for Christmas that was based on a special wall hanging his mother made.  I used this set to create a card that resembled the wall hanging.  I have to admit, I colored quite a few in different mediums, but using my prismacolor pencils had the best vintage quality.   The stamp set includes the 3 choir boys, the music notes, which I stamped in stazon on this card;  and some lovely Christmas sentiments.  My card is 9 1/4 x 4 inches and fits in a #10 envelope.  I have had the linen paper I used for quite a while and it was perfect for this.

The ribbon was from Stampin Up and was just such a perfect fit for the design although it is now retired.  For now I have kept it simple without a sentiment – and I plan to send it off to Anthony.   This stamp set is available now at Anthony’s booth at the Stamp Scrap Art Tour in Hamburg , NY this weekend and should be available at Anthony’s Paper Craft website starting next week.   This is a picture of the full set:

  1. Love your card. The second I saw the picture of the card it reminded me of the Gurley candles my mother had. She made a choir with the angels and used paper towel tubes, painted gold to resemble an organ. About five years ago I found some gurley candles and used her organ pipes (I couldn’t throw them out even though I had no candles) I put it up every year.
