Growing in Unity – Day 2

Today I am still showcasing Unity Stamps in a Clean and Simple style, but these cards are just a step up.  Be sure to check my blog all week and make comments – at the beginning of next week I will select 2 winners from the comments to get a fun grab bag from Unity Stamps.  I love their grab bags – always such an amazing collection of stamps.  ALSO BE SURE TO CHECK OUT THEIR YEAR END SALE!!

For the trees card, I used the tree stamp from a past Layers of Life set called “Search for those Moments“.  There is a lovely sentiment in the set, but I used a “Happy Holidays” from AnthonysPaperCraft sentiment set because I wanted something small and I love the font.  The base is made from Stampin Up Cherry Cobbler cardstock and the frame was cut out using an Avery Elle Postage Stamp die that matched the cardstock of the base.  I stamped the trees and sentiment on ivory cardstock that was cut with a Wonky Stitched die.  It is a simple card but the frame really sets it off.

My favorite reindeer card this year – I love it.  This is a Z-fold card  – the front of an A2 card folded back on itself. With a beautiful red plaid paper pulled from my stash and a red card base from GinaKDesigns Red Velvet cardstock.  I stamped the little reindeer from “Merry Dearest” on an oval die cut and colored it, then put a red stitched oval behind it and glued it to the center of the fold.  I stamped a sentiment behind the oval and the “Merry & Bright” that came with the reindeer in the lower right corner.  This is how it looks open.  Isn’t that little deer just adorable!!

Please be sure to comment to be in the drawing for a Unity Stamps grab bag and I will see you tomorrow!      Mary Kay

so many have commented about the trees and the music –  they are both part of the stamp.  It is just so creative!

  2. More beautiful cards! I really like the tree card. Then I read that the reindeer was a z-fold, so maybe that’s my fav. Love them both! Hope you have a Merry Christmas.

  3. I love anything scripty on a card so really love the musical score behind the
trees. Also love the postage stamp frame; it’s a perfect fit. And the deer… always
love a deer (or snowman! or a birdie! lol) on a Christmas card. They are just so
    sweet. Love the z-fold design.
