Today’s card is a product of the Clean and Simple Boutique Cards class. I combined several of the techniques.
My background is a repeated stamping from Altenew’s Painted Butterflies. I stamped the outline in Caramel Toffee, and the inside of the butterfly with Warm Sunshine and Peach Perfect inks. The diagonal strip is made from a 1-1/4 inch cut from gold foil, and a 1 inch strip cut from a gold vellum (both from my stash). The sentiment, from the Halftone Circles stamp set, was stamped in a sepia Versafine and embossed in a gold detail embossing powder. I was concerned that the gold embossed would not show on a gold background so used the colored ink to make it darker.
The panel was cut using a stitched frame die and mounted with foam on a GinaKDesigns Honey Mustard card base.
The details of this card is what makes it stand out. The gold on gold on gold diagonal strip brings such a rich touch to the card.
Thank you for stopping by and I will be back soon.
Hugs – Mary Kay
