How exciting! A brand new year. I hope 2019 will be wonderful for you. We Growing In Unity bloggers from the last two months of 2018 are having a fun blog hop and I hope you will hop and comment on all the great blogs listed below.
I wanted to use the kit I received for doing a Growing In Unity week and it just arrived yesterday! My choice was the January, 2014 kit called “Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful”. After searching through the past kits, this one had so many great designs and sentiments that I just had to have it. There are so many, many wonderful membership kits and sentiment kits on Unity – it did take a while to find just the one I would pick.
I decided to make some cards for my friends who enjoy glitter, sequins, and all around SPARKLE! There are a lot of them so I will be busy with this set for awhile. For my focus cards, I used the sentiment saying “to the queen of SPARKLE”. A friend had told me about this amazing embossing glitter from Judikins called Egyptian Gold. Unfortunately, I could not find where it is being sold anywhere. She plans to send me a little – but being the hoarder, and lover of glitter, I am; I managed to snag most of a container on Ebay! However, WOW has some gold glitter embossing powder that works great too.
So I used the textured circle with that embossing powder. Stamped the sentiment in black versafine and added WOW clear sparkle embossing powder to that. The flower was stamped in green and red versafine clair and also embossed with Wow clear sparkle. The flower was fussy cut and popped up over the gold circle. One card is using gold foil cardstock for the mat, and put on a GinaKDesigns honey mustard card base. The other uses gold glitter cardstock for mat and mounted on an ivory cardbase to match the panel. I also put a bit of nuvo shimmer on the flowers. With a few holographic sequins from Cartwright sequins, I am very happy with how they came out. I have a couple friends in mind for these cards,
You may have gotten here from Samantha‘s blog on the hop. When you are done here you can jump over to Sari‘s blog.
These are the amazing blogs to check out and comment on. Two winners of Unity stamps will be selected from all the comments on the blog hop – so good luck.

And one last card that I can use for a birthday with the cupcake from the set. I still have so many stamps in this set to play with.
