Getting back to my Altenew Educator Certification classes – Today I am presenting a card based on the “Let It Shine” instruction. This is one of my favorite classes – I love glitter and shine. For my featured card, I stamped some of the filler layers from the Altenew “Golden Garden” stamp set in versamark. I then applied some gold glitter embossing powder and heated it until it was set. I cut it down to 4 x 5 1/4 inches and mounted it on some GinaKDesign gold cardstock.
I had spent the day doing some die cutting and my cards spotlight some of my results. The Happy is cut from both from a gold stardream and a shiny gold cardstock and then layered with the shiny gold on top. You can see that in this picture. This gave it a shadow appearance and a bit of texture.
The “Happy” die and sentiment are from the “Halftone Happy” set. I applied several hologram gold sequins from Cartwright Sequins, and my signature gold dragonfly charm.
I had made a couple other cards with the gold embossing of the “Golden Garden” set and a bordered “Hello” set from Pink and Main.
For the first one, I just put a shiny gold border down the left side to set off all the beautiful gold sparkles.
This card was the same layout, but framed with a shiny gold mat.
I hope you have enjoyed this sparkly gold blog today. I really had a fun time with it

Hi Mary! That is a wonderful, full of sparkle card! Since this is your 5th class and you are halfway through, I would like to discuss about stylizing and photographing your projects. Can you please write to me before submitting your next project at erum@altenew.com and we can discuss this.
I am so glad that you entered your beautiful work in the Altenew AECP assignment Gallery. Awesome details and design! Super work!
