My card today is for the class “Celebrations: Stencil Techniques” using the Altenew Feathered Leaves stencil along with the Watercolor Wonders stamp and die set.  I love how the embossing paste seems to glow on this card.

To begin this card I taped my stencil down on a full size piece of Neenah Solar White 80 lb cardstock.   I would actually suggest the 110 lb as it warped just a bit.  I used a full sheet so that I could cut it down into the best panel.  Using a 6×6 piece would have done the same.
My embossing paste was Dreamweaver Translucent Embossing Paste.  I used my pallet knives to mix of bit of paste with shades of green (Altenew Firefly, Olive and Moss inks) so I could get some color textures on the leaves.  I then put dabs of each color in various spots on the stencil.

Using an old Starbucks’ gift card I spread the pasted into the valleys of the stencil. Using the Tim Holtz Glitter Duster, I sprayed some Nuvo gold glitter on the wet paste – just a light layer. Then I peeled off the stencil and cleaned up my stencil, gift card and pallet knives right away.

After the paste dried, I cut a piece of the panel to 3  x 5 1/2 inches and placed this on a 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch piece of gold glitter cardstock and centered it on the front of a green card base.  I stamped the 2 main floral pieces from the Altenew Watercolor Wonders set in some bright colors (Altenew Fresh Lemon, Coral Berry, Turquoise and Autumn Blaze inks) and die cut them.  After placing and pop dotting the flowers and the sentiment from the Altenew Label Love set, I felt it needed just a little more so cut a leaf shape from the stenciled pieces I had left over and popped it above the sentiment

This was such a fun card to make.  I love glitter and bright colors!!
