I am sure that you, like me, come across some stamped pieces you nearly forgot about. I did all these butterfly panels last year at this time when I was on vacation in Australia. The Butterflies1 and Butterflies2 stamp sets were some of very few I took with me. Gotta stamp! The Butterflies1 stamp set (the black outlines) is March’s Stamp of The Month at Anthonys Paper Craft. This is a great stamp set which includes 11 butterflies all grouped together.
My main photo shows the outlines being used with the Butterflies2 set – which is the solid stamp that matches the Butterflies1 set. I used bright colors from a GinaKDesigns mini ink set. I had also made some rainbow butterflies by dragging the ink pads across the solid images.
The outline set can be used alone and so many ways to color the butterflies. Did you know that a group of butterflies is called a kaleidoscope? You can make each butterfly unique and what a beautiful kaleidoscope that would be.
The other way I used this set was fussy cutting my set of blue ones. This gave me 11 different butterflies that I could use on some blended pieces I also came across. I got 4 different cards from the one stamped panel.
To make these cards I also pulled the Natures Silhouettes and sentiments from Anthony’s Greetings Set 2, Floral Background 2 and Floral Background 3.
You can get free shipping because it is the Stamp of the Month (SOTM) and if you place an order online and add this SOTM set to your cart this month, your whole order will ship for free (USA only).
I can not wait to see the real butterflies. This cold weather has gotten old!
Hugs and see you soon. Mary Kay
