It is Christmas in July at Anthony’s Paper Craft. The team and I will be showing some great holiday creations using all the wonderful Holiday stamps at Anthony’s Paper craft this month.
My first entry is using the basket from Christmas Set 1 with a gate fold design. This is a great set including this basket along with a candle and decorated bell design. I colored the basket and contents with copics, along with a light green around the edge. After cutting it out, I mounted it on some fun textured ivory cardstock with pop dots. I cut the textured cardstock and some dark green cardstock using a double stitched square set I have. I then made the sentiment strip with Anthony’s Christmas Sentiment 2 set – this set has 3 larger holiday sentiments in a great script I stamped on the same textured paper with versamark and embossed it in a glitter green embossing powder. This was put on the same dark green cardstock.
For the gatefold card, I cut a piece of natural cardstock to 8 1/2 x 5. I scored at 2 1/8 from each end and folded it towards the center. HINT: have your trimmer ready, I can never get them to match exactly and had to trim a sliver from one side. After going through my 2 inch strip stash (which is ever growing because of cutting the 6×6 pads), I found this holiday stripe paper and adhered it to each of the side panels.
I then lined up the basket panel, and put adhesive only on the left side of the back and adhered it. On the sentiment strip, I put adhesive on the right side and adhered it. This is a view from the top.
These gatefold panel cards are always fun to make, and have quite an impact.
See you soon with another fun Christmas card. — Mary Kay
